Simply the sound of the duck outside at the pond crying out, calling attention to its beingness, its place in the world, evokes joy in me. I feel a kinship. And so do I with the yellow flowers, clouds, trees, hawks, and other birds that sing beautifully to me, right outside my open door in the early morning hours. I do not need to go anywhere to be Home. Home does not depend on being accepted by me, or anyone. Home is present Here, neither waiting or not to be recognized and embraced as our Home. Once we recognize Home, we see it at all places and all times, if we truly see and not merely look. This is somewhat more like Home seeing Itself through our eyes, our heart, Being evoking Its presence through us. Some might call this something else, as I do sometimes, like heaven, or nirvana. We could call this Love, but Home is not a feeling, but a Joy untouched by and prior to feelings. Home, whatever we call it, means we all belong together, and we each have our place in this amazing, unutterable Grace.
